Cecilia Gentili, 52, passed away on February 6 after using the reportedly lethal drugs that Antonio Venti and Michael Kuilan had previously sold the previous evening.
The house in Brooklyn where Gentili’s lover found her dead in the bedroom was called to the police. She was found to have died as a result of the combination of cocaine and fentanyl, according to an examination.
” As it is reported, Cecilia Gentili, a well-known activist and transgender community leader in New York, allegedly overdosed from fentanyl-laced heroin in her Brooklyn home. We are pleased to announce the detention of the plaintiffs who sold the lethal dose of drugs to Gentili now, along with our law enforcement partners at DEA and the NYPD,” said US Attorney Breon Peace.
Gentili was a renowned advocate for the transgender area, sexual workers, and people living with HIV, but hosting her death at St. Patrick’s Cathedral was what the Archdiocese of New York called” blasphemous and deceptive”.
Gentili’s home responded saying all are supposed to be encouraged.
In ancient defiance of the Church’s hypocrisy and anti-trans anger, we brought beautiful life and extreme pleasure to the Cathedral. The Cathedral’s funeral service, which featured the same amount of people as the Cathedral during Easter services and NYPD burial, epitomized her commitment to her society and demonstrated the impact of her tireless advocacy.
