5 people are detained for “planning to destroy transgender” | India News

BJNOR: At Najibabad in Bijnor, five people—including a 40-year-old trans man—were detained for plotting the murder of another transgender person and “hiring contract killers by offering them Rs 2 crore for the job.” Police thwarted their scheme, and the accused were apprehended on Monday after a run-in with law enforcement.

Police received a tip about the presence of thieves at the Mozzampur Tulsi Garhi village, according to Bijnor SP Neeraj Kumar Jadaun. The police surrounded the area. In a fruit orchard, four of the suspects were camped. When the police attempted to detain them, they opened fire on them. The police were able to stop their assault and detain them.

“During the investigation, they told the officers that they were hatching a plan to get rid of Heena, the trans,” the SP continued. “Another trans, Naina, had agreed to destroy Heena for Rs 2 crore.” Naina even admitted to her wrongdoing. She admitted to the police that she and Heena got into an argument over place submission.

IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder), among others, were used by the police to file a case against the accused. Naina from Rampura and her helpers Prince Tomar, Nitin, Shahnawaz, and Mahruddin were among those detained.
