A bill that would impose significant new limits on the life of transgender children has received final approval from the Ohio government.
Doctors are not allowed to treat transgender students in gender-affirming ways under the bill, HB 68. Additionally, it prohibits trans female student athletes from taking part in girls ‘ activities.

Before the law was passed, transgender children who had already started taking estrogen or puberty blockers were permitted to continue taking them under HB 68. Minors of other ages wo n’t have access to those therapies.
