NEW DELHI: For a few weeks, native trans organizations and the police were perplexed by Shivani’s appearance on the streets. Nothing was familiar with her.
The transgender man was spotted at some visitors signals in northeast Delhi wearing a salwar kurta, large makeup, and sindoor. She was suspected of being involved in some snatchings, according to police.
She frequently approached individuals just as the signal was about to turn green, according to authorities. She desired cash. She would plague the vehicle if he held back. Shivani may grab the bag and run away if the irate driver pulled it out to give her some spare change. She escaped capture.
However, Shivani’s luck ran away on December 23. A shock was also in store for the officers.
On December 23, Shivani allegedly focused on an e-rickshaw driver at a signal in Chandni Chowk, according to Manoj Meena, DCP ( north ). She requested funds from the driver. She was rejected by the drivers. Shivani began yelling obscenities at his home. The trans snatched all the wealth and fled as the pilot, who was now a little frightened, pulled his earnings out of his pocket and prepared to present her with an Rs. 10 note.
The e-rickshaw vehicle leaped out of the car and pursued her down the busy street. When they saw the pursuit, a local police team made up of SI Satender Singh, brain sheriff Amit, and contable Rahul joined in. After about 100 meters, they managed to capture Shivani, the transgender person they knew to remain, and took him for a medical exam. Shivani, it turned out, was a 29-year-old man from Meerut by the name of Deepak Yadav who had turned to taking money to support his drug and edibles habit.
The vehicle was robbed of the income Yadav had taken from him.
Yadav admitted during questioning that he frequently visited Delhi and resided in the Yamuna Bazar neighborhood. He may pose as a transsexual and deceive gullible people. He had succeeded in locating some cosmetics and had taken some children’s apparel. He had trick drivers into thinking that he was transgender by wearing these.
He would use the stolen money to buy touch and edibles and commit atrocities during the day. He generally used the medication at night in remote areas and rainforests.
He had occasionally go back to his house and returning to Delhi after a few days. He may shift to a different traffic message this day.
According to the DCP, “investigation has revealed that he is a routine legal with participation in at least seven new cases of snatchings, robbery, and possession of unlawful arms, which are registered in several Delhi police stations.”
