CV NEWS FEED // A bill banning pelvic “transgender” surgery on minors was passed by the New Hampshire House of Representatives on Thursday, days before the country’s citizens will cast their ballots in the first-in-the-nation key.
In the position, HB 619 had “require a man to attain the age of majority for reproductive gender reassignment surgery,” according to the president’s words. The bill may also permit additional types of so-called “gender- asserting care” for children.

Rep. Jonah Wheeler of D-NH was one of the Democrats who voted in favor of passing HB 619.
According to Wheeler, as reported by the New Hampshire Bulletin, “this is a question of whether or not you feel children should be able to obtain an inevitable surgery.” He defended his choice to disagree with the vast majority of the conference in his party.
Wheeler emphasized, “Despite being a progressive who believes in human right, I do not believe that children should be able to have catastrophic surgery.” I’ll endure the warmth that results from this, then.
Wheeler, 20, is the second-youngest state lawmaker in New Hampshire and the third-wearest in the United States. He praised counsel Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s then-Democratic campaign last summers.

DeWine was criticized by CatholicVote last week on X (previously Twitter). CatholicVote wrote, “Terrible choice by Ohio Catholic DeWine to veto a bill protecting women, ladies in sports, and risky clinical research on children.” “We implore the Ohio government to overturn the filibuster and immediately protect Ohio’s kids!”
Sununu, like DeWine, is a self-described Catholic. The former governor of New Hampshire is regarded as a “moderate” Republican Party official.
Sununu supported former ambassador Nikki Haley for his group’s presidential election next quarter.
