The transsexual conflict is still going on in Ohio- Tri State Alert.

January 25 – Ohio has been debating gender-affirming treatment for some time.

A law that would forbid hormone treatments and surgeries for transgender persons was passed by lawmakers a few months ago. Additionally, it limits the mental health services provided to trans children under the age of 18. Under this new law, transgender girls and women would also be barred from playing on ladies’ or children’s sports teams in K–12 schools.

When the legislation first arrived at Governor Mike DeWine’s desk, he immediately vetoed it.

However, the Senate decided yesterday to override the veto.

Ohio officials predict that the law will go into effect in 90 days.

“They really listened to their electorate,” said NewsTalk 103.7FM’s Pat Ryan. The first time, they paid attention to the electorate, but an Ohio governor who is deaf, dumb, and blind did not pay attention. Hacking off children’s bodies, babies, and standing up for women and girls are the issues at hand. Fortunately, these lawmakers paid attention to their constituents and vehemently opposed the governor. It’s your child, your sister, girl, and daughter. You won’t give little Johnny and little Suzy a pack of cigarettes. Therefore, why don’t we wait until they have reached adulthood before considering hacking off what they refer to as gender-affirming care?

It’s not just about the clinics, though they are probably the most surprising and alarming piece of this for a lot of people, added Michele Jansen of NewsTalk 103.7FM. Additionally, philosophy is involved. Basically, we are mistreating kids by telling them that gender is fluid. That philosophy is a radical departure from essential concept. That is not good, has not been tested, and has been found to be beneficial for children’s mindset. It isn’t. Gender fluidity is not something that science really backs up. The notion that by frightening these kids, you are physiologically harming them. You’re actually scaring them because one of the first things kids learn, you remove the stability beneath their feet, is that there are two sexes, which is reality, both clinically and usually, male and female. You take that away from kids and start giving them the idea that people can simply choose who they are, which destabilizes their world and pulls the rug out from under them. Abuse of children is the first thing you should do before moving on to anything more.

Because the Ohio House and Senate passed this law decades ago, Governor Mike DeWine vetoed it, and then what happened yesterday was that the Senate voted to override the veto, Attorney Clint Barkdoll observed, “This is the legislative process working the way it should work.” They had the necessary vote in each chamber to override it, and the House had already voted to do so.

Ohio is the 22nd state in the nation to have enacted such legislation.

That would prevent adolescents from having access to hormone therapy and puberty blockers, according to Barkdoll. They are currently the 24th state to forbid men and boys from participating in female and male sports. I believe that more states will join this. I mean, the general consensus is that people shouldn’t take part in women’s sports. When it comes to hormones and puberty blockers, you shouldn’t be treating teenagers. Therefore, I believe you’ll see more states do this.

The governor’s veto was extremely controversial.

He’s a liberal Republican governor, but when he vetoed the legislation to outlaw these things, Barkdoll expressed concern that it did not include medical care and treatment for those under the age of 18 who requested these methods. That was the issue he had with it. Now that this bypass has been passed, it appears that the House and Senate may pass a companion bill that will specifically address the mental health needs of adolescents who claim they want to undergo treatment that prevents the onset of puberty or hormones. Therefore, in some ways, both parties might get what they wanted from this.

“Nicely, that would be a shame,” Jansen said, adding that the issue with the so-called medical treatment is that this philosophy has taken over the entire sector. You’re referring to a group of teenagers who frequently hear about this on social media, struggling parents who are trying to understand that they don’t want to hurt their children, and numerous activists who have now become involved in the psychiatric aspect of this. Because psychiatric care is no longer useful in this situation, they won’t be receiving high-quality care if the governor and these legislators get their way on this so-called bill to help children with it. There are far too many people who also subscribe to the notion that there is a gender spectrum, which also for our teenagers is untrue. Therefore, if they don’t dig deeper and begin realizing that children are actually being hurt by the medical aspect of this, this will be a disappointment.
