The team spoke against the institution board’s 6- 3 vote two weeks ago to stop Policy 5756, the state’s quasi- necessary guidelines for dealing with transgender students.

Max McManus, a student at Indian Hills, refuted the claim made two weeks ago that” no one loves a baby like his family, and that family wants what’s best for them.”
A National Institutes of Health study has shown” that 73 % of transgender adolescents reported psychological abuse, 39 % physical abuse, and 19 % sexual abuse”, McManus said. Transparency is a child’s health and well-being when you reveal a child’s identity to a family who is transphobic.
The instructions were incorporated into Policy 5756 and adopted overall in 2018. Some directors who label themselves “parents ‘ right” have recently criticized them because they claim that the policy does not require parental notice when a child tells school employees they are changing their name, pronouns, or sexual identity. Given the mental health issues involved, the directors argue this should be required.
However, Siobhan Farley, a freshman at Indian Hills, argued on Monday night that Policy 5756 protects students from parent/guardian punishment and that all parents do not all react positively when advised.
” How do you recognize that these individuals need security, but not fight to protect them”? Farley asked. There is nothing about being transgender that makes you suicidal. Most of the time, it can be attributed to a lack of understanding, safe places, or abuse and neglect at home.

The Franklin Lakes, Wyckoff, and Oakland combined large college followed the Franklin Lakes level school district’s example by repealing its plan and joining roughly 24 other provincial towns earlier this year. A similar proposal was submitted last Monday by the Wyckoff grade school district that serves the high school. Gina Coffaro, superintendent of Oakland School, claimed last week that no similar motion had been filed in the grade school district.
