Judge rejects temporary restraining order in lawsuit involving a trans-health event.

South Central District Judge Jackson Lofgren has rejected a temporary restraining order that would have ended the North Dakota law that forbids gender-affirming care for transgender minors. BISMARCK, N. D. ( KFYR )

Doctors debated whether to halt the legal process last week as the situation progressed in court.

Judge Lofgren states in his order that the order’s purpose is to keep things as they are, which is “at this moment, to remain enforcement” of the law.

He claims that not all of the requirements required to give the get have been met by the plaintiffs.

The defendants ‘ debate, according to the judge, was weakened by their protracted filing period. The problem was n’t submitted until September after the law went into effect in April.

Additionally, he claims that trans people are not recognized as a secured class by the North Dakota Supreme Court.

In January, attorneys will reconvene to discuss whether or not a temporary injunction on the rules will be issued.
