The Movement Advancement Project reports that 21 claims have outlawed gender-affirming medications for transgender children. In retaliation, Illinois this time enacted legislation defending patients and healthcare providers who enter the position. The Chicago Therapy Collective, a mental health and lobbying group for LGBTQ+ people, has Iggy Ladden as its executive producer. They are nonbinary and transsexual. As part of our line, Airlines and Freedoms, Illinois Public Media’s Kimberly Schofield spoke with Ladden about the status of transgender rights in Illinois.
