JK Rowling criticized Lisa Nandy for insisting that the transgender discussion should not be condensed into “bodily parts.”
Ms. Nandy was criticized by the author of Harry Potter next month for her previous support of sending transgender rapists to adult prisons, calling her “one of the biggest reasons numerous women on the Left no longer confidence Labour.”
However, the dark global development minister retaliated on Thursday by saying that history will not be kind to feminists who are gender-critical and think that being a woman is not the same as being born one.
Labour had also revolution equality laws to make it simpler for people to change sex after Sir Keir Starmer hardened the party’s position on gender in July by rejecting the idea of self-identification.
When questioned about Rowling’s comments and whether female voters could rely on her party in the upcoming election, Ms. Nandy replied,” Yes, they you.” Really, it breaks my heart. With an eight-year-old who is utterly obsessed with Harry Potter, we are currently rereading the book in my home.
And I do n’t believe we should get into a conflict because we are discussing some of the most oppressed and discriminated against women and girls on the planet.
” Because there is a sincere discussion to be had about the right of transgender people, the preservation of safe places, and the struggle for women’s right.”
Ms. Nandy said she speaks away so loudly in defense of transgender people “because we’re talking about one of the most prejudiced- against groups of people beings in our state,” calling for “far less heat and far more gentle” while discussing trans issues.
She continued,” I believe we will be utterly ashamed of ourselves when we look back on history and consider how we have reduced that conversation to issues like biological components.
Nandy claims that peace is “incorrect.”
Eight dark ministers resigned or were fired after defying Sir Keir in a ballot on Wednesday, and Ms. Nandy was unapologetically in response to Labour’s refusal to call for an end to the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.

In her 2020 presidential campaign, Ms. Nandy claimed that the government” don’t allow the ongoing marketing of arms to Israel,” and she also declined to apologize for that claim.
She said,” Israel has a right to defend itself, and we should assist that.” The use of American weapons and hands has been linked to a number of problems in the targeting of kids.
And I’ve been really adamant with the state that there needs to be an effective system in place to stop that from happening. And citizens should be held accountable for that.
The previous Labour prime chancellor Gordon Brown admitted to giving Ms. Nandy advice on the Middle East conflict in recent weeks and added that he had sent emails from New York in the middle of the night in all-capital letters.
The shadow cabinet minister acknowledged that Labour would not be able to immediately restore previous levels of overseas spending due to the economic conditions, despite criticizing Boris Johnson for temporarily reducing foreign aid from 0.7 % of GDP to 0.5 %.
