AEW Tony Khan, the president of AEW, has responded to Nyla Rose’s declaration that Oklahoma is the country’s “official trans caution.” ”
According to previous reports, the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission ( OSAC ) recently determined that AEW was breaking their rules in relation to a game that Nyla Rose played in on an ROH episode on December 20, 2023.
The OSAC was informed that the boxer had no idea because the fighter had applied for a female wrestling license. ”
All Elite Wrestling received a notice from the OSAC regarding a transgender fighter competing in the position.
During the AEW Dynasty internet call, AEW President Tony Khan was questioned about the situation with Nyla Rose and the state of Oklahoma. He answered:
The Oklahoma State Athletic Commission and the reminder they issued against AEW when we featured Nyla Rose on the show in December, I want to discuss that situation with them. I was genuinely surprised by this. ”
“It’s not everything I was expecting, and, of course, I was disappointed by the commission’s place and by that warning. I don’t think we did everything wrong. I find myself extremely surprised by it. ”
I do n’t believe transgender wrestlers or transgender people should face any form of discrimination. They have right. To that end, I completely stand by Nyla Rose. ”
“AEW supports Nyla Rose and all other trans individuals who want to play sports. This is wrestling. There was nothing improper about it. ”
Khan cited the story Nyla has had with the business since its founding:
Nicole Rose has been a fantastic world champion and a wonderful fighter. I enjoy working with and loving Nyla. She has played a significant role in our past. ”
She is a fantastic member of the AEW Up program and was the first trans world champion always. She does a lot for the area. She has a wonderful center and is a great man. ”
One of the funniest individuals on social advertising is that she is very supportive of the other athletes. ”
Nyla to TBS has been nominated for the best social media presence on more than one event over the years. ”
She has been a member of the AEW staff since 2019, going up to the first shows, and is an AEW unique. Looking at all Nyla has accomplished, to put that label on her, it ’s certainly right. ”
“She is much more than that. She is a great sportsman. I hope everyone will recognize Nyla as a great wrestler, excellent people, and person who deserves the same opportunities as everyone else. ”
I hope the Oklahoma committee can do the same thing if everyone in the locker room at the AEW is hug Nyla, which is made up of individuals from all over the world and from all different backgrounds and beliefs. ”
When asked how he plans to address this issue in the future, Khan answered:
All I can suggest is that we have great plans for our 2024 and 2025 displays. We have a fantastic new team and get all of this into account. It’s a developing tale, in my opinion. ”
Although I was surprised by this, we certainly want to do our best to support the fans all over the world and in America, and we want to take AEW grappling to all over the world. ”
“We have wonderful supporters in Oklahoma, they are critical to us. We’ll do everything in our power to help those viewers. It’s everything we’re going to have to think on. ”
