Last year, Russia tightened its anti-LGBT laws, allowing the government to great any person or group found to have encouraged homosexuality in common, online, in movies, books, or advertising.
That law expanded Russia’s earlier prohibition on Gay misinformation, which forbade the “demonstration” of Gay behavior to children.
According to TASS, the justice department “filed an operational say to recognize the global LGBT people movement as extremist and to forbid its activity on Russian Federation territory.”
The definition of the “international LGBT people movement” was unclear at first, but it seemed to refer to any initiatives to promote LGBT rights in Russia.
On November 30, the jury is scheduled to rule, according to TASS.
