Annual Grants from the Packers Foundation set a record$ 1.5 million.

This year, the Green Bay Packers Foundation made an announcement about its record$ 1.5 million grant submission to 321 political and charitable organizations across Wisconsin. The announcement was made by Michael Barber, chairwoman of the Foundation, who also honored and acknowledged the excellent work and services each organization had provided.

Of the Foundation’s efforts, Brown County agencies received 40 offers totaling$ 189,500. Additional offers totaling$ 1, 310, and 500 were given to 281 further organizations throughout the state.

According to Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy,” We’re proud to give out a record$ 1.5 million through our annual Packers Foundation grants this year.” ” Serving some of our most vulnerable companions, the victim companies are very committed to their areas.” We are grateful to acknowledge and help their significant and powerful work.

The grant period for this year concentrated on organizations that may apply the money to the needs of the elderly, homelessness, people services, and hunger. Organizations in 50 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties received grants, with 43 going to the old, 66 to poverty, 135 to mortal services, and 77 to appetite.

The Foundation’s grants are non-repeating and must be applied to the particular program or system for which the organizations submitted their applications.

Since Judge Robert J. Parins, the Packers Corporation’s president at the time, founded the Foundation in 1986″ as a vehicle to ensure continued efforts to charity,” it has given out more than$ 22, 542, 000 to charitable causes.

Additionally, under the Packers Scholarship Program, which was established in 2002,$ 53, 000 was given out—$ 26, 500 to Scholarships Inc. for distribution to students enrolled in four-year colleges, and$ 26,500 to Northeast Wisconsin Technical College ( NWTC ) for allocation to participants in associate degree or apprenticeship trades programs spanning two years. National Football League Properties contributes a part of the scholarship money, which the Packers request be returned to the Foundation along with any royalties received for the use of their brand on Wisconsin license plates. The Green Bay Packers contribute the remaining sum, which has totaled$ 557,000 since 2006, because the profits do not completely handle the scholarships. In the upcoming weeks, the Packers Foundation will also donate more money to several NFL Foundation applications, as it has in the past.

Along with Barber, Dexter McNabb, Jan Allman, LeRoy Butler, Eddie Garcia, Mike Haddad, Jeffrey Joerres, Wilson Jones, Laurie Radke, and Mike Simmer are also members of the Green Bay Packers Foundation Trustees. The Packers Foundation and its yearly grants are a part of Green Bay Packers Give Again, the organization’s all-encompassing community outreach program, which includes appearances from players, alumni, coaches, and team, sports awareness, money and in-kind donations, Make-A-Wish visits, as well as community events.

This year’s offers from the Packers Foundation totaled$ 3.255 million, with offers to the American Legion Sullivan Wallen Post 11, Journey To Adult Success, Journeys Lutheran School, Just One More Ministry Inc., Medical College of Wisconsin, Green Bay NeighborWorks, and the Urban League of Greater Madison, totaling$ 1.5 million in effect offers.
