After Ohio House overturns reject, trans kids claim they may leave the state

Several Tri-State parents with trans children said they might leave the state after the Ohio House voted on Wednesday to override Gov. CINCINNNATI (WXIX) House Bill 68 was vetoed by Mike DeWine.

The bill would have prohibited transgender women who were biologically adult from participating in sexual activities and limited access to medical care for them. The Ohio Senate will receive the costs.

The Transform Cincy includes Reverend Alice Connor of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. The bill’s purposes, according to Connor, are mistaken, especially in light of the fact that trans youth suicide rates are high.

Many people believe that death is caused by transgender people, so we should defend them and prevent them from switching. However, the reality is that it is the other way around. They are prohibited from being who they are, which makes them homicidal.

Another family, who requested anonymity, claimed they sobbed following the vote on Thursday.

The family remarked, “It’s thus frustrating.” There are people who want my baby dying because of who they are, and if you knew them, they’re the sweetest kids you’ll actually meet. It’s wrong that they don’t want to spend the time getting to know them personally or emotionally.

The bill, according to State Rep. Jean Schmidt of Cincinnati, was intended to protect women in female’ sports.

Schmidt remarked, “This isn’t about me as an aging athlete.” Every woman and girl in Ohio should read this. We are entitled to a level playing field.

Trans girls and women aren’t winning excessively in female sports, Connor countered.

DeWine stated after the vote that the state should n’t make decisions regarding gender-affirming care.

DeWine stated, “I continue to believe it is in the best interests of babies for the child’s parents to make these health decisions, not the authorities.”

The costs may be put to a vote in the Ohio Senate on January 24.
