After “wiping out” his benefits to reject fed spacecraft, juvenile trans-surgery journalist comes forth

After identifying himself to another columnist as the leak behind the transfer of documents revealing that a doctor reportedly had not abided by the government’s new restrictions on transgender surgeries for juveniles, a former surgeon from Texas Children’s Hospital spoke to Fox News.

Republican Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, in June 2023, signed a law that forbids kids from receiving hormone treatment and being prescribed puberty blockers.

The Texas Children’s Medical in Houston had announced it would then stop offering such procedures to adolescents, according to host Laura Ingraham of “The Ingraham Angle” on Thursday.

However, not long after, leaked documents claimed that the hospital always changed its course to comply with the new state law, including one that purported to record a doctor surgically inserting an implant for drug delivery in an 11-year-old patient.

Over the Prior Three Years, Investigation Finds Increase in Transgender Surgeries

To highlight the alleged conduct of the medical center, the journalist had come forward with the files to columnist Christopher Rufo.

The journalist, Dr. Ethan Haim, told “The Ingraham Angle” that federal agents from the Department of Health and Human Services served Rufo at his residence shortly after the documentation he gave him became public, stating that they were “potential targets” in a “new legal investigation.”

Since then, according to Ingraham, Haim has “wiped out his savings” and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars. In addition, Haim has since started a GiveSendGo campaign to fight what he called “charges that aren’t entirely clear to him.”

“Why exactly are they claiming to be after you?” Ingraham inquired.

“I wish I had a great response to that, but to be completely honest, I was unable to. Your guess would likely be just as good as mine,” Haim retorted, adding that because of HHS’s “ideological get” and dedication to transgender ideology, he thinks the investigation is “politically motivated.”

Ingraham, who is also an attorney, questioned what the feds are specifically citing as justification for continuing to pursue him, saying that there must be an explanation for the prosecution, whether it be fraud, impropriety, or some Medicare-related infraction.

“You might believe that, but it doesn’t seem to be the case in my circumstance,” he said.

“They’re going to come after you if you oppose the dominant political ideology,” Haim continued, “because I had told the truth, and that’s one of the stuff.” ”

We have to fight against it at some point.

Ingraham observed that the coronavirus pandemic marked the beginning of HHS’s tilt toward quashing opposition to the recommended method or stance.

Texas Children’s is still a “phenomenal hospital,” according to Haim, but it is staffed by “a select few” faculty members who won’t do the “right thing.”

He claimed that speaking with those who had performed female operations made him feel obligated to defend both the patients and the medical community as a whole.

“We have no profession left if we can’t speak up about something like this.” There needs to be a certain level of accountability.

Returning to his legal battle and how it is allegedly depleting his savings, Haim reiterated his conviction that the federal government is politically motivated, but added that he has discovered how many Americans really back him up.

“The great thing about this situation is that, when you decide to speak out, you have all these people who are willing to come to your aid and help you out. As a result, we must be prepared for whatever they have to use against us.”

One doctor operated on children between the ages of 12 and 17, according to The Daily Mail, which previously covered Haim’s whistleblowing files. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has since started looking into the event.

After Paxton launched his investigation in 2023, a hospital spokesperson told the media that its staff members “provide high-quality treatment for all people… within the bounds of the law.”
