AHF • US’s first transgender service voter center observes election day on Tuesday.

The Connie Norman Transgender Empowerment Center ( CONOTEC ), the first transgender facility in history to serve as a Vote Center, will be open to the press for primary election day coverage in Los Angeles ( March 4, 2024 ). CONOTEC is a comprehensive resource, training, support, and medical service for Transgender people living in Los Angeles.

Voting on the major time will take place from 7: 00 am to 8 00 p.m. CONOTEC has been opened to Los Angeles County citizens since March 2, 2024. The facility did have a DJ, food, and a “red carpet” image hall on site to mark the beginning of its history at 12pm.

Lt. Eleni Kounalakis, the governor, praised CONOTEC for being a safe and democratic location to cast ballot for Trans, Non-Bilingual, and LGBTQA+ people and friends who have been under increasing verbal, social, and physical attacks throughout the nation, saying,” California is leading the way by removing the barriers to having one’s words heard at the ballot box.

Connie Norman, known as the” AIDS Diva,” a brave Transgender and AIDS advocate who passed away from the disease in 1996, is the founder of the Connie Norman Trans Empowerment Center. On September 10, 2021, it opened.
