As England forbids puberty blockers for children, LGBTQ Orgs Silent.

Popular LGBTQ organizations that support the ‘gender-affirming’ care for children have yet to comment on the news that England is outlawing puberty blockers as a form of therapy for children with gender distress.

England’s National Health Service declared that there is not enough evidence of “health and medical success” for children and young people to take puberty blockers to treat gender dysphoria.

“There is not enough evidence of safety and clinical effectiveness for the use of puberty blockers (gonadotrophin-releasing hormone analogues) in children and young people for gender dysphoria or incongruence,” according to the NHS’ website.

The news represents a significant step forward in the conflict between identity politics and their effects on kids. The decision by England and the United States have been praised by supporters of protecting children from irreversible clinics.

Strangely enough, some of the major organizations that push “gender-affirming care”—the euphemism used to identify transgender surgeries, hormones, and puberty blockers—have not said anything at all.

One of the most outspoken pro-transgender organizations in the country is The American Civil Liberties Union. The ACLU has brought lawsuits numerous times against state laws that protect young persons from irreversible attempts to change their gender.

In a tweet from Tennessee in September, the ACLU promised, “We’ll never stop fighting for transgender children and their families to receive the medical attention they need.” Like many other progressive and left-wing organizations, the ACLU refers to trans surgeries, hormones, and puberty blockers as “gender-affirming care.”

The Daily Signal contacted The ACLU for comment, but the ACLU did not respond. The organization does not appear to have made any comments on the subject through social media or news releases.

GLAAD, which was the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, has also put resources and time into promoting sex changes and “gender-affirming care” for young people and children.

In January, the group released a fact sheet on what it called “evidence-based health care” for people who identify as transgender, including children.

GLAAD claimed that “transition-related health care for transgender individuals and children is supported by every major health organization and major health authority.” “Attempts to ban and restrict this care are not based on scientific or medical evidence, and often spread misinformation about what the treatment is.”

GLAAD has gone so far as to issue a mandate that reporters “have an obligation” to include their comments from health organizations that support allowing children to access trans surgeries, hormones, and puberty blockers, which GLAAD calls “safe and lifesaving.”

In fact, GLAAD launched a campaign against The New York Times for publishing the detransitioners’ stories. GLAAD called the Times’ coverage “irresponsible” and “biased”, claiming it was dangerous for youth who identify as LGBTQ.

The Daily Signal contacted GLAAD for comment on this story, and the organization did not respond. Similar to the ACLU, the organization doesn’t appear to have taken any action on the issue through social media or news releases.

Detransitioners share their stories of transition regret on Detrans Awareness Day, which is a day when news of the NHS decision is shared to warn others against falling for the medical and therapeutic manipulations they have endured. Detransitioners are those who attempted to change gender but came to realize that it was not possible.

Detransitioner Abel Garcia told The Daily Signal on Wednesday, “I am in total support of what the United Kingdom is doing right now.” I believe that children must be protected, and I’m pleased to hear that, at least through the first few years of human puberty, children in the United Kingdom can lead healthy lives.

Prisha Mosley, a detransitioner, also praised the news.

“It’s an incredible step in the right direction,” she told The Daily Signal. It shows that politicians have finally been listening to what experts and detransitioners have been saying for years.
