Biden’s’ Transgender Day of Visibility’ falling on Easter Sunday fires effect

President Joe Biden announced that “Transgender Day of Visibility” may be observed on Easter Sunday, but he received criticism on social media.

On Friday, the Catholic leader made an announcement to all trans Americans.

“THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the power vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility.” Biden’s speech on the White House website read in part, “I call upon all Americans to join us in raising the lives and voices of transgender persons throughout our nation.”

Easter, which is observed on Sunday, March 31 this month, is one of the most solemn and critical moments for Christians. It honors the death of Jesus.

On Saturday, Biden received criticism from Donald Trump, officials, and other presidential candidates.

A speech from Trump’s camp called Biden’s statement “profane” and “horrible.” Trump rebuffed Biden’s and the White House’s request for an explanation.

“The fact that Joe Biden’s administration officially designated Easter Sunday as ‘Trans Day of Visibility’ and prohibited youngsters from submitting religious chicken designs for their Easter Art Events is revolting and disrespectful. Unfortunately, these are just two more cases of the Biden Administration’s years-long assault on Christian beliefs. We demand an apology from Joe Biden’s sluggish battle and the White House to the millions of Americans who believe the resurrection of Jesus Christ will be remembered for one reason only.”

Georgia’s Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican representative, claimed that Biden and Democrats had made fun of Christianity.

“This is a strong abuse on Christianity,” Tennessee Republican Rep. Diana Harshbarger wrote. “It is obvious that the left is determined to denigrate our religion and customs. This isn’t just blatant disrespect, it’s purposeful.”

Democratic Congressman Alex Mooney, who is running for Senate, blasted Biden for the “accident in scheduling.”

Vivek Ramaswamy, a past political candidate, posted, “Joe Biden just proclaimed that ‘Transgender Visibility Day’ is on Sunday, March 31st. I’m curious how he came up with that timing.”

How Americans feel about political individuals and their spiritual commitment, according to a recent Pew Research survey.

A total of 13% of U.S. adults say they think Biden is “very” religious, while 41% say he is “somewhat” religious and 44% say he is “not too” or “not at all” religious.

When it came to Trump, that same poll found 4% think Trump is “very” religious, while 25% describe him as “somewhat” religious and 68% say he is “not too” or “not at all” religious.

A recent Pew Research survey revealed that more Americans are abandoning organized faith.
