Dems violated freedom of speech during trans president’s conversation, traditional parties allege

The Colorado House and Senate are in the middle of a dispute between liberals and conservative groups suing Democratic politicians, alleging that the requirement for speech violates their First Amendment rights.

The Rocky Mountain Women’s Network, a children’s advocacy group fighting for “sex-based rights,” and Gays Against Groomers, a nonprofit alliance of gay people, were named as defendants in the mutual complaint filed by prosecutors with the Institute for Free Speech on Thursday.

The lawsuit claims that Colorado legislators slammed the organizations during open hearings for HB24-1071, a bill that may make it simpler for transgender individuals to change their names. It is still being discussed in the Senate.

Colorado may be the first state to build separate prison units for trans felons.

The plaintiffs listed in the 30-page complaint are: Rep. Lorena Garcia, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee Mike Weissman, Rep. Leslie Herod, Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee Julie Gonzales, and Sen. Dafna Michaelson Jenet. All are Democrats.

The ongoing discussion about transgender ideology has spawned verbal rituals in many schools and workplaces, according to the lawsuit. Some people choose to declare their pronouns naturally, and some transgender individuals insist on being referred to by their chosen pronouns, including fictional or numerous ones, according to the lawsuit. “Americans even argue about whether, or when, to refer to people by their fresh cis-inspired names.”

“There is nothing wrong with Americans, or their elected staff, debating trans philosophy.”

Detransitioners guarantee that they face vitriol from trans activists, which had was considered a “second family.”

The groups claim that Colorado Democrats are “using their authority to put a finger on the size of the government’s conversation about transgenderism” by prescribing how critics are permitted to provide their opinions during the public testimony portion of committee hearings.

Individuals aren’t able to fairly debate their ideas because the lawsuit prohibits “misgendering” or “deadnaming” and otherwise requires citizens to express fealty to transgender ideology under the guise of “civility” or “decorum.”

Deadnaming refers to the use of a person’s birth name rather than a brand-new title that is typically associated with a chosen pronoun.
