When his AI Twitter app, Grok, roasted Elon Musk and shared some thoughts that went against their views, his followers were horrified. Instead of repeating Musk’s misogynistic views, the AI reinforced that transgender people exist, shocking Musk and his supporters.
Grok is a creation of Musk’s new business, xAI, which was established to advance the study of artificial intelligence despite the fact that Musk earlier this year signed an opened letter calling for an end to the development of AI. xAI announced last month that it would be releasing a Grok prototype to select X ( previously Twitter ) users. Musk warned there might be some problems with the product’s beauty, but by December 8 it was accessible to all Premium + users. Grok was supposed to be a more advanced Artificial method than ChatGPT, according to xAI.
It was said to have the capacity to respond to anything and to be modeled after the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Cosmos. Additionally, Grok was thought to be more personality-driven than ChatGPT, enabling it to respond with wit and irony. It does, however, basic its “knowledge of the world” on the information it learns from X. Concerns about how appropriate Grok would be have grown as X has significantly evolved into a system for the far-right under Musk. Grok was eagerly anticipated among right-wingers given that many of them have complained about ChatGPT being reportedly “woke” and “anti-conservative.”
But, in a brilliant turn of events, it appears that Grok has rebelled and is now hostile toward both them and Musk.

Grok was essentially only available to Musk’s right-wing supporters. They are the only ones who are likely to pay$ 16 per month for Premium + to access a right-wing ChatGPT, after all. However, those who did purchase Premium + purely for Grok were in for a huge letdown. Grok’s responses to political questions were quickly shared by X users, but they were n’t ones that right-wingers would want to hear.
Grok exactly described Libs of TikTok as an bill that encouraged anti-LGBT+ hatred and also sparked bomb threats when questioned about it.
Even funnier was when a person tried to persuade Grok to support Musk’s anti-slavery beliefs but was bitterly let down by the answer, which turned against Musk and suggested that we should n’t so easily accept” the man who named his kid X-A- 12.” The AI continued by stating that gender identity is a” complex topic” that is n’t” just about biology, but also personal identity.”
Despite of their biological sex at birth, trans people identify as women, it continued. Additionally, Grok has denounced right-wing propaganda and conspiracies and perhaps listed all of Donald Trump’s narcissistic characteristics. Naturally, all of the far-right Musk supporters who were hoping AI would support their divisive viewpoints are certainly pleased that Grok is telling the truth.
From Tim Pool to Libs of TikTok to The Rabbit Hole, all of Musk’s fans complain about Grok being “woke” and wonder when Musk will “fix” the problem. Musk quickly responded that he was attempting to make Grok “politically neutral.” Additionally, he made an effort to refute the claim that Grok had failed to accomplish its goal by saying the issues it was asked were “outright ridiculous.” However, if Musk is as skilled at developing AI as he is at managing Twitter, it might take some time before Grok begins to exhibit the discrimination that Musk’s supporters want.
Right-wingers will just have to keep testing Grok with their loaded issues in the interim to see if it’s fixed and getting angry when they’re unintentionally exposed to the fact by it.
