The Public Religion Research Institute ( PRRI), which released its American Values Atlas in late 2014, analyzed the opinions of Americans across all 50 states regarding LGBTQ+ equality issues.
In the past year, support for LGBTQ+ privileges fell in three categories, including non-discrimination protections, morally based company refusals, and same-sex marriage, according to interviews with more than 22, 000 adults throughout 2023.
Overall, the percentage of LGBTQ+ people being protected from discrimination in housing, employment, and public accommodations decreased from 80 % in 2022 to 76 % last year, according to the figures.
