A Fox News reporter claimed that there is a” organized work” in progress to replace God with trans people.
Lisa Boothe, a Fox News variety and media personality, made the odd assertions during a panel discussion where guests discussed Joe Biden’s new acknowledgment of Trans Day of Visibility.
Biden became the first US president to publicly recognize the internationally recognized time, which is observed on March 31 each year to honor trans people’s efforts and life.
Republicans were outraged by the accidental coincidence that Trans Day of Awareness this year occurred on Easter Sunday, which led to right-wing conspiracy theories that transgender people were trying to subvert Christian beliefs.
Host Alicia Acuna opened by saying that there had been “piling on” by Christians against Biden’s declaration in a section on Fox News ‘” The Big Weekend Show.”
She then read out a quotation from secretary of state, Antony Blinken, who was erroneously attributed as “homeland safety secretary”, in which he honoured Trans Day of Visibility.
The discussion was then brought up by Lisa Boothe, who claimed that she thought the identification of Trans Day of Visibility was a” clear work” to “remove God from our society” and replace him with “false Gods.”
” With this instance, it’s the transgender community”, she said. Instead of [bowing ] to God, they blatantly want us to bow at the altar of the trans community.
The fact that the vacation falls on the same day as Easter is only a coincidence despite Boothe and Fox News ‘ commitment to stop the seemingly godly troops of the transgender group, which has covered it for over a year.
Easter Sunday falls on the first Sunday after the whole sky, which falls on or after the spring spring, and falls on different dates each month. Because that moment happened to be 31 March, it fell on the same day as Trans Day of Visibility.
Right-wing media outlets like Fox News have continued to use the accident as a justification for spreading anti-trans speech despite this obvious truth.
