Friends and family recall the Columbian trans girl who was found dead.

Loved ones are grieving after a nearly week-long search for Shandon Floyd ended with her body being discovered in Columbia, according to MARION COUNTY, S. C. ( WMBF ).

Floyd’s body was discovered only and indifferent on Tuesday just before nightfall, according to the Richland County Sheriffs Department.

Floyd, a trans person, was praised by many for her good nature. Tyesha Evans, one of Floyd’s close companions, claimed she learned of her disappearance first through social media.

Tragically, I just so happened to be on Facebook, said Evans. The worst place to find out someone is missing is there.

Almost a year before her body was discovered, Floyd was last seen on November 9.

” She was lovely. Evans remarked that they did n’t have to kill her in that manner.

According to an event record, Floyd and a friend traveled from Florence to Columbia. About 10 km away from where her body was discovered, the two were staying.

Evans remarked,” I was hoping for a safe return and for her to return home, but that is n’t happening. ” It did n’t go like that, at all, I assure you.”

At McDonald’s in Mullins, a number of Floyd coworkers claimed to remember their past encounter with her.

One classmate remarked,” She was in a light car, grinning with her splints and saying bless you, and then she only pulled out.”

Evans claims that she occasionally questioned Floyd’s companions.

It might be a close colleague, she remarked. ” I feel like people were hating on her, her appearance, and other things.”

To commemorate a life lost to shortly, friends and coworkers claim they will wear bolts with the terms” Forever Shandon” on them.

Officials claimed that a preliminary investigation turned up no evidence of wrongdoing, but deputies are also looking into it.

According to a statement from our sister place WIS, the Richland County Coroner’s Office was unable to reveal the cause of death in the case as of Friday.
