Columbus, Ohio: On Wednesday, an Ohio House committee dragged out a bill to forbid trans Ohioans from using restrooms that match their presumptive gender identities.
The bill, which was first introduced last season, was amended by the Ohio House Higher Education council to add exceptions for judicial workers, fresh children’s families, emergencies, and aides to the impaired, but the restrictions on transgender students using the restroom were kept. It forbids institutions from building any non-gendered restrooms.
