  • Information that a transgender criminal was called a woman has been criticized by JK Rowling.
  • The author of “Harry Potter” claimed she was “sick” of such events.
  • “This is not a woman,” they say. She wrote these on X, formerly Twitter, and they are #NotOurCrimes.

J.K. Rowling has refrained from calling a trans woman criminal and convicted murderer a woman.

Reacting to a “Harry Potter” author’s response to a Sky News picture about the event, the author wrote: “I’m so sick of this nonsense. This is not a woman’s crime. These are #NotOurCrimes.

“If violent and sexual assaults committed by men are recorded as female crimes,” she continued in a subsequent post. “Crime statistics are rendered meaningless.

Scarlet Blake, 26, a trans woman, was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum 24-year sentence in a UK court after being found guilty of murdering Spanish national Jorge Martin Carreno in July 2021, according to Rowling.

The 30-year-old was lured to a remote location by Blake, struck in the head with a whiskey bottle, and attempted to kill him before pushing him into a ravine where he drowned.

In addition to the murder of a cat, which she had live-streamed months prior, she admitted to grievous bodily harm and animal cruelty.

The prosecutor was informed during the legal proceeding that Blake had taken “grotesque pleasure” in removing the cat from a blender, according to the BBC.

In a media release, Jon Capps, a Thames Valley Police detective, stated that “there are several aspects of this case that have been truly disturbing to watch, learn, and deal with.”

“This defendant displayed deliberate brutality. He continued, “The acts Blake has been convicted of are barbaric and chilling.”

Rowling has previously shared her opinions on transgender issues.

Rowling first joined the discussion in 2019 when she tweeted her support for Maya Forstater, a woman who lost her job after a string of tweets suggested people couldn’t change their biological sex.

The author claimed in a March 2023 interview on The Witch Trials of J.K. Rowling that she “absolutely knew” that her views had made people “greatly unhappy with her but that she was troubled by what she believed to be a social movement that was reactionary in its methods and had very dubious goals.

She said, “Time will tell if I’ve got this wrong.” “I can only say that I gave it a lot of thought.

Numerous “Harry Potter” fans and actors have since spoken out against Rowling’s remarks.

Daniel Radcliffe, who played the film’s mythical character, said in a 2020 statement that “transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of trans people and goes against all advice given by professional medical organizations, who have much more expertise on this subject matter than Jo or I.”

A transgender woman was found dead in their cell a month after Scotland’s proposed transfer to a women’s jail was blocked.

According to The Telegraph, Tiffany Scott, also known as Andrew Burns, passed away on Thursday at the age of 32, according to the Scottish Prison Service.
