Louisiana Legislature to take into account a trans act that limits toilet usage based on sex at birth

BATON ROUGE, La. ( BRPROUD)— The Louisiana standard legislative session is afoot. House Bill 608 or the” Women’s Safety and Protection Act” is one of the expenses currently up for consideration. It has been filed, and its main writer is State Rep. Roger Wilder III.

The bill aims to establish the distinction between men and women based on their genetic sex. The bill claims that it will protect women from sexual assault and harassment committed by natural men. It targets the transgender people, and these states frequently are false.

If HB608 were to pass, facilities in public institutions would be solitary- sexual use simply. The one that is not intended for sexual activity may become prohibited for use.

The act also changes the regulations for the bathrooms and sleeping areas at juvenile detention facilities, as well as domestic violence facilities. According to the act, the latter are “managed by the Department of Children and Family Services.”

The rooms, changing areas, and sleeping areas would only be available to those of the same gender or members of the same family in correctional and juvenile detention features. Only people of a certain intercourse could use the designated bathrooms, changing areas, or sleeping areas.

Domestic violence tents would have to adhere to the same guidelines.
