A judge heard today that two teenagers plotted to trap a transgender girl to the playground, where one of them repeatedly stabbed her. They had made up lists of people they wanted to kill.
According to the jury, Brianna Ghey, 16, died at the picture after being found face-down in clay in February after suffering 28 independent stab wounds from a hunting knife.
According to Manchester Crown Court, her reported killers—a boy and a girl who were both 15 at the time—were “preoccupied with murder, torture, and death” and had exchanged messages about how they wanted to murder people they knew.
The trial claimed that the two, who are known only as Girl X and Boy Y due to their advanced age, created a list of five people they desired to murder. Both contest crime.
They are said to have focused on Brianna, with whom Girl X had developed an “obsession,” when their initial intended specific” smelled a rat.”
They first debated whether to poison Brianna with prescription medication using messages in which the child referred to her as “it,” according to prosecutor Deanna HeerKC.
The two then focused on luring Brianna to a garden close to her hometown of Warrington, Cheshire, where they intended to” stab her in the rear and throat,” she claimed.
Girl X reportedly wrote to Boy Y,” I want to kill her at least once, even if she’s dead, just for fun bro.”
However, Brianna was unable to attend the scheduled meeting, so the two kept making programs, according to Ms. Heer.
A dog walker discovered Brianna bleeding on the ground in Culcheth Linear Park, close to Warrington, Cheshire, two weeks later, on February 11 of this year, along with two teens who had been seen fleeing.
According to Miss Heer, she had suffered” cataplexing blood loss” after being stabbed 28 times in the head, neck, back, and chest, with her jugular vein severed.
Jurors were informed that” significant power” would have been needed to cause the injury.
Brianna was declared dead at the scene at 4.02 p.m. after receiving another weapon punch to the heart, she continued.

According to the witnesses, Girl X may look at Boy Y and coughing to signal that it was time to get the knife “ready,” and then she would say “gay” to suggest that he stab Brianna.
