Hispanic President Andrés Manuel López Obrador issued an apology on Tuesday in response to allegations that he had mistreated a transsexual senator.
López Obrador said, “I want to apologize to a coworker who claims to be female.”
Salma Luevano, one of Mexico’s second trans politicians, was originally referred to by the leader as a “man dressed as a woman.”
López Obrador’s explanation was deemed important by Luevano, who also noted that she was waiting for his approval.
President @lopezobrador_ apologized to me now for making inaccurate generalizations about me. The senator wrote on X, the app formerly known as Twitter, “This declaration is extremely important because it makes visible a battle that has taken us years.” “I am a transgender woman, and that is not up for debate,” she said. “I’m today awaiting the president’s arrival.”
Luevano also disproved claims that López Obrador withdrew after discovering her identity.
The senator stated, “President @lopezobrador_ knows that I am a TRANS person and that there is also pity between us.” “From what I can tell, @lopezdoriga, your Ridiculous Awareness and rotten mind lead you to believe that everyone is your kind.” Couldn’t FORGET: THE Anxiety reflect fear and uncertainty.
López Obrador has also recently come under fire for his requirements for assisting the United States with its boundary problems.
The Mexican president requested that President Joe Biden lift the embargo on Cuba, end sanctions against Venezuela, offer $20 billion to Latin American and Caribbean nations, and give work visas to 10 million Hispanics who have lived in the country for at least 10 years.
According to López Obrador, the cause of the wave of illegal immigration would be the focus of financial relief.
Fox News reported that he said, “We have always talked about addressing the triggers.” “The best thing to do is to aid developing nations.”
The White House acknowledged that “irregular migration” is a “hemispheric concern” that affects nations besides the United States and Mexico.
According to a White House official, “We have maintained effective and productive conversations with our Latino partners since the beginning of the Administration as part of our commitment to address the issue of migration in the Western Hemisphere.”
The Biden administration has concentrated on increasing cooperation, expanding legal immigration options, and addressing the underlying causes of migration, the spokesperson continued.
