President Joe Biden faced fierce opposition from liberals for holding this week’s Transgender Day of Visibility, as he has done every year since taking office. In a statement honoring the transgender community and reaffirming his commitment to the cause, Biden recognized the time, honored the trans community, and acknowledged his accomplishments.
But, the Biden White House did not create Transgender Day of Visibility, nor was it concerned for picking the time. It has been recognized on March 31st since 2009 while Easter’s meeting changes every month.
Some Republicans did not stop their indignation over the collide because of the coincidence.
” I believe that everyone should be taken offended by this. The intention behind this. Easter is a spiritual holiday”, Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R- Tenn., told Fox News on Sunday.
Despite the criticism, management authorities continued to back the occasion.
We in the Biden-Harris management want to know that we see you, “education director Miguel Cardona said in a video posted on social media Sunday to the many transgender individuals across the country who are listening on this Trans Day of Visibility.
In response to the criticism, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean- Pierre said,” It is deceptive what we have heard the last 24 hrs.
One of the critics who criticized the White House is former president Donald Trump, who criticized instructions given to National Guard Families that included encouraging children to participate in the yearly children’s yolk decorating contest but for outlawing any religious imagery.
The CEO of the American Egg Board and the First Lady’s office both made statements in which they explained how the contest’s rules have n’t changed in the last 45 years.
