Nyla Rose, a prominent part of the AEW women’s section, has been a leader as a trans fighter in the world of professional wrestlers. But, her journey has not been without its share of unnecessary hate and contempt from some people. In fact, Tony Khan has now expressed disappointment over The Oklahoma Athletic Commission ’s warning to AEW over transgender wrestlers.
Due to its reminder to AEW regarding trans wrestlers competing in the position, the Oklahoma Athletic Commission has become a source of controversy in the wrestling industry. Nyla Rose, who wrestled in a fit that was recorded for Ring of Honor in December 2023, is the subject of the controversy.
On the internet call for AEW Dynasty, AEW President Tony Khan addressed the circumstance, expressing sadness at the commission’s reply to Rose’s fit. Khan, who emphasized that the commission’s caution was both surprising and troubling, and that AEW had never done anything wrong by including Nyla Rose in their present.
Khan backed Nyla Rose and other trans athletes in sport and argued that they should not face discrimination. He praised Nyla Rose’s efforts to AEW as a gifted fighter and pioneer as the first transgender world fighter. Khan praised her hard work and stance in the community as well as her involvement in the AEW Up software, highlighting her strong personality and affluent personality.
I want to discuss that with the Oklahoma State Athletic Commission and the caution they issued against AEW when we featured Nyla Rose on the show in December. I was genuinely surprised by this. It’s not everything I was expecting, and, of course, I was disappointed by the commission’s place and by that warning. I don’t think we did everything wrong. It definitely shocks me. I do n’t believe there should be any discrimination against transgender wrestlers or people. They have right. To that end, I completely stand by Nyla Rose. Nyla Rose and all other trans people who want to perform sports are supported by AEW. This is wrestling. Nothing about it was bad. Both Nyla Rose and Tonya Rose have been outstanding earth champions. ”
Khan demanded that Nyla Rose be honored as a fantastic athlete and individual and given the respect she deserves from the Oklahoma Commission. He expressed wish that the percentage may choose a more open-minded and accepting stance, citing the various AEW locker room as an example of how people of all races and beliefs may accept Nyla Rose.
I adore working with and loving Nyla. She has played a significant role in our past. She is a key member of the AEW Up system and the first transgender world champion in history. She does a lot for the area. She has a great brain and is a great guy. One of the funniest individuals on social advertising is her support for the other athletes. Nyla to TBS has been nominated for the best social media presence on more than one event over the years. She is an AEW authentic and has been a member of the team since the very beginning of 2019. Looking at all Nyla has accomplished, to put that label on her, it ’s certainly right. She is a lot more than that. She is a great sportsman. I hope everyone will recognize Nyla as a great wrestler, excellent man, and deserves the same opportunities as everyone else. I hope the Oklahoma committee can do the same thing if everyone in the locker room at the AEW, which is made up of people from all over the globe and from all different backgrounds and beliefs, you accept Nyla. ”
Tony Khan was questioned about how he would respond to the Oklahoma Athletic Commission’s caution against AEW for featuring Nyla Rose in a game. In response to the problem, he was also asked if he plans to avoid holding activities in Oklahoma.
Khan emphasized that AEW has a good program for its 2024 and 2025 shows, as well as a capable new team that considers all of these elements. He considered the situation to be an expanding history, expressing surprise at the commission’s approach. He reaffirmed AEW’s commitment to supporting enthusiasts all over the United States and around the world by bringing AEW wrestling to all areas with a sizable fan base.
All I can say is that we have tremendous plans for our 2024 and 2025 displays. We have a wonderful new group and get all of this into account. It’s a developing tale, in my opinion. Although I’m a little surprised by this, we undoubtedly want to do our best to support the fans all over the world and in America, so we can take AEW wrestlers to all over the world. We have wonderful supporters in Oklahoma, they are essential to us. We’ll do everything in our power to help those supporters. It’s everything we’re going to have to think on. ”
However, Nyla Rose’s whole situation was terrible, and fans are likely to be happy with how Tony Khan has handled it so far.
