Trans people will always exist, and the Cass report doesn’t change that.

The much-anticipated Cass report has now been released, leading to the publication of a number of anti-trans naysayers who are predicting that what they call “gender philosophy” will follow the banana.

The record, which was commissioned in 2020, includes many suggestions for how trans youngsters clinics may be run and organized in addition to the time review published by Dr. Hilary Cass in 2022.

The report contains a number of broad recommendations that make sense if implemented properly, while others that are more contentious range from confusing to potentially malicious.

The Cass report makes a number of dubious statements, including that there is evidence of a “prenatal” physiological effect on the toys boys and girls choose to play with and that” for several centuries transgender individuals have been predominately trans females.”

The comedy that surrounded the beginning of the first novel centers this month has already undermined the more affordable recommendations, including the isolation of pathways for pre-pubescent children and teenagers and the execution of local hubs over the second clinic England had.

There’s no denying that many “gender-critical” groups see it as an assurance of their anti-trans beliefs, regardless of whether you think Cass will be a “watershed time” as dark health secretary Wes Streeting hoped in his sad declaration on the report.

If you read any post that includes a number of TERFs praising the report and declaring those who are apprehensive about the findings to be “butt-hoed” trans rights activists, whether it be positive or negative.

What’s most concerning is that a significant getting in the document, which claimed that essentially all exploration into trans healthcare is of “poor quality,” has been used to ignore a fundamental biological and social fact: the existence of trans people.

According to Amnesty International UK, the document is already being “weaponized” by anti-LGBT+ media outlets and groups, which is why TERFs are using it to make the claim that anyone supporting trans people is using “pseudo-science” to refute a myth.

This is perfect nonsense: Cass just comments on research into transgender medical itself, no trans individuals as a whole. However, a depressing effect of the document and the coverage in the media has been that it has given trans people and trans-biased pundits more ammunition to dismiss other facts.

Despite all of this, but, there is one key and wholly eternal fact that TERFs, “gender- important” groups, and anti- trans bigots the n’t silence: trans people do occur. There are thousands of us living joyfully at the moment, just like I do as a trans girl, my friends do as trans people. That’s all you need to understand. Trans people may still exist – as we have for generations, as the record itself states, if the Cass statement is a far relic of a bygone era.

Despite this, the inevitability of trans people’s existence does not conceal the growing structural issues of today, the lack of access to healthcare, or the vile level of hate against us at the moment. No matter how far we have come, we should always be fighting for the advancement of human freedom in culture.

The preliminary evidence doesn’t appear to be promising, so until then, keep in mind that trans rights will always be human rights. Whether or not the Cass Report will help or hinder that fight is still up for debate.
