Treat users of the LGBT+ society with regard- Adjetey Anang tells Nigerians

Ghanaian comedian, Adjetey Anang

Popular Ghanaian professional,, has expressed his concern about the manner some Ghanaians treat people involved in LGBT+ activities.

He noted that the opposite of what people who identify as gay or lesbian should be treated with disrespect and belittled in society is the fact that they do not coincide with other people’s beliefs.

He claimed that those responsible for these acts should be shown compassion and love to transform their lives and not tolerate discrimination because it wo n’t have a significant impact on their lives.

Speaking in an interview with GhOne TV monitored by GhanaWeb, he said,” I have always had a problem with how we react to people who are in that category]LGBT+ activities], they are human beings. And I believe we must reevaluate our judgment and approach to them.

” The fact that their act or whatever their actions are may not align with what we believe in as Christians, for example, does n’t mean that we should do away with them. How do we actually demonstrate how love can transform someone’s life?

Concerning the passage of the anti-gay costs:

The of Ghana on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, passed the Promotion of Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill, commonly known as the anti- LGBT+ costs.

The bill, currently awaiting presidential assent, proscribes Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender ( LGBT ) activities and criminalizes their promotion, advocacy, and funding.

Promoters and sponsors will face a three to five-year jail phrase, while those caught in these acts may be subject to a six- to three-year jail term.

The costs will now need to receive the president’s consent to enter into effect in less than 7 days.

But, if President refuses to consent to the act, parliament, by a two- second majority vote can review it into law.
