In its 78-year story, the UN Security Council was given a comprehensive overview of security issues affecting Gay people in a fight setting for the first time. The UN Security Council was briefed on LGBTQ women’s rights by Marcela Sánchez, a gay man rights advocate and amp; senior director of Colombia Diversa, a Bogota-based human rights organization. Sánchez called for an end to assaults against LGBTQ people in Colombia &, demanded the whole, similar &, healthy participation of women &, LGBTQ individuals in the application of Colombia’s peace deal. Sánchez stated,” Every attack against an LGBTQ people, every animal rights keeper killed &, every crime left unsolved sends the information that our life are dispensable. I sincerely hope that this Council can give a strong message to Colombia’s Gay people that their lives problem and that you will have by your commitment to protect their rights today. said Sánchez in her speech. Outright International’s Executive Director, Maria Sjödin, observed that the Security Council had ignored the fact that Gay individuals were frequently targeted for who they were for far too long. If safety &, peace efforts leave out disadvantaged groups, there is no durable serenity. Today’s presentation is a significant action toward mainstreaming Gay people’s experiences throughout the Security Council’s authority and furthering the Council’s knowledge of sex persecution in discord settings. Sànchez was invited to the April lecture by Malta’s state. Sànchez’s visit was sponsored by the Women, Peace &, Security NGO working class &, supported by Outright International.
